We can't wait for this exhibition by our friend David Alabo.

Description of the exhibition:

Step into a world of possibility and imagination, where the boundaries of time and reality blur and the stories and experiences of Black people take centre stage.

In this immersive and interactive digital art show, the artist invites you on a journey through a virtual gallery that pulsates with creative energy and innovation.

Using a combination of cutting-edge technology and traditional mediums, the artist has crafted a truly unforgettable experience that will transport you to a realm beyond ordinary. As you explore the exhibition, you'll have the chance to interact with the art, using your own movements and gestures to unearth hidden depths and meanings.

The artworks on display are all inspired by Afrofuturism, a visionary tradition that reimagines the experiences and history of Black people through a futuristic lens. From time-traveling superheroes to post-apocalyptic cities, these pieces will challenge and inspire you to think about the world in new and exciting ways, and imagine alternate futures that are more inclusive and hopeful for us all.

Artist Bio
David Alabo is a Ghanaian-Moroccan artist whose work spans multiple mediums, including virtual reality and computer-generated programming. Through an Afro-surrealistic lens, he creates digital African landscapes that are both familiar and fantastical, featuring androgynous figures in vast 'futurescapes' that explore themes of solitude, displacement, and introspection. Rather than offering an escape, Alabo's imagery serves as a meditative reflection, providing a visual language that is both surreal and healing. His work has garnered attention from major outlets such as CNN, Adobe, and Allure, and he has collaborated with prestigious partners such as Apple, HBO, and more. Most recently, Alabo exhibited a video installation at the Solve conference at MIT.
